Performance with outdoor fire and old photographs

A performed event that takes place outdoors, this work uses photographs and their subsequent destruction to create a metaphor for the processes of storytelling and remembering.

I contacted my family and had them send photographs from when I was young. I used them to illustrate a narrative I told around an outdoor fire. The pictures were passed around for viewing, and once they had been seen by everyone, they were burned in the fire.
