these wood boxes memorialize objects of my father's legacy: a nameplate from his navy desk and a metal hammer he made as a student.

they are equipped with infrared cameras on the interior, and video screens on the exterior. The objects contained within the boxes are viewed only by surveillance; positing our relationship with the things we keep.
